Brooklyn Forest offers classes in New York’s parks for children and their parents as a way for them to connect with nature and introduce play-based learning. Recently, I got to photograph Charlie Foster, who co-founded the program with his wife Joylynn, for Wool & Prince. I also did a little Q&A with him as well.
I followed Foster for a day, which typically consists of baking bread for the classes, coordinating with teachers and going to one of the parks to help teach. It’s really an amazing program, and if you’re raising kids in the city you should definitely check it out.
Here are a few photos from the shoot.
