Three Years Down

Three years down. That's how long I've been keeping this site going now. Honestly, I didn't expect it would last this long. I had no idea where the Hand & Eye would bring me three years ago, and I'm still surprised every day with the warm reactions I get posting about the people who inspire me.

Last night when I was going to sleep, my phone kept vibrating in the living room. I woke up this morning only to find out it was because Nick Offerman tweeted a link to a recent post and it kept getting retweeted (Thank you sir!). That's the kind of thing that resonates for a blogger.

That, and your interest. Thank you for reading, sharing and supporting the site. It's what fuels this whole crazy pursuit and I really appreciate it.

Going into 2017, I already have a bunch of original maker profiles lined up and shot, as well as a few bigger projects I'm excited to work on and share soon. I've never been more convinced that doing the work we love is so important - critical! - whether we get paid for it, or not. In 2017, I hope you work on the projects that bring you joy and fulfillment, and I wish you luck and patience with them too.
