New York's Surreal Fall Landscapes
There’s still time to catch the leaves changing color outside of New York, but not much. After reading a foliage report online this weekend, we hauled up to Harriman State Park to take in the colors before winter and it was pretty surreal - a technicolor daydream an hour north of New York.
Living in the city, it’s easy lose track of nature’s rhythms - the tides, the foliage changes, the bird migrations. This weekend was my own reminder of just that, that even a short trip can yield beautiful finds and serve a sharp reminder of how important it is to get out there.
