Gear Friday: Huckberry Giveaway

Today is a big day here on the site. We're launching a new feature, in partnership with Huckberry, called Gear Fridays. Every Friday, we'll be selecting a few great finds over at our favorite online shop and featuring them here. And to kick it off, the good people at Huckberry are giving away a $100 gift certificate to one lucky Hand & Eye reader.

All you have to do is go here and register, and you’ll be entered to win.

Huckberry’s been one of my favorite online stories for a long time. The selection of gear and clothing is right on point with my tastes, and, their newsletters and blog (You may remember seeing this there) really are fantastic.

This new feature also kicks off an affiliate partnership with Huckberry, which is a pretty easy way for you to support this site. It’s pretty simple. If you click through to Huckberry and buy something, Huckbery puts a wad of unmarked hundred dollar bills in a duffel bag and delivers it to Hand & Eye HQ via drone within the hour. Or, they send a check. We'll find out.

It works for the us because we get to make a little scratch and have fun selecting cool gear for you to look at. And, we don’t have to wallpaper the site with obnoxious advertising. And hopefully it works out for you because... no ads and awesome gear.

So, to kick off this great Huckberry giveaway, and new partnership, here are just a few of some of great finds over at Huckberry.

1949 Bicycle Bell: Stop shouting at pedestrians and stay safe with this awesome bike bell.

Schon DSGN Pen: These highly-designed pens are made in Massachusetts and endorsed by the Hand & Eye. See our profile of Ian Schon here

Wellfleet Shucker: I first came across Murphy Knives at American Field a few months back and loved these tools when I saw them. Stop shucking around and grab a real, made in the USA, oyster knife.

Filson Short Cruiser: Top of my wish list and from a brand that needs no introduction.

Topo Designs Daypack: These bags seems to be everywhere right now and there’s good reason for it. Well made, handsome and durable for years.
