Francesco Ciccolella's Postsnowdencards

Recently I came across the work of Francesco Ciccolella. He’s an Austrian illustrator who does a lot of notable work for a bunch of big name clients, but it was his Postsnowdencards that really grabbed me. They need little explanation more than what Ciccolella writes on his site.

“A personal series dealing with mass surveillance in the digital age. The 15 images were printed as postcards and exhibited in a number of exhibitions where visitors could take them away for free. Ironic observers may come to view the seemingly unsafe postcard as a safe alternative to e-mails.”

These illustrations really resonated with me and reminded me the incredible power that seemingly simple images can carry. You can see the entire collection here and follow Francesco on Instagram at @francescociccolella.

Thanks to Francesco for letting me share them here!
