Leave it to the good people at Kaufmann Mercantile to create such a beautiful and useful book. The Kaufmann Mercantile Guide: How to Split Wood, Shuck an Oyster and Master Other Simple Pleasures is a collection of short pieces culled from the Kaufmann Mercantile journal, a couple of which I’m proud to say I wrote.
It’s not every day that someone turns your blogposts into a book, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this collection, and with such great company too. I just got my hands on a copy and I’m loving it. Other contributors include James Fox from 10Engines, Thomas Callahan from Horse Cycles, Lizzie Garrett Mettler from The Reed/Tomboy Style and Alexandra Redgrave, trusted editor, among many, many others.
It’s a great crew, and you’re guaranteed to learn something useful from the book, like how to tie a bowline, and how to shave your face.
