Handmade in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s not something you hear often. But District Eight Design is doing just that. A quick perusal of their site reveals some really nice pieces. While obviously heavy on the industrial-design ascetic, District Eight Design also has some very simple sort of pieces that I really appreciate like this entertainment unit, this side table and this lamp.
According to their site: “District Eight Design was originally created to preserve and develop historically significant buildings, warehouses, and objects in Ho Chi Minh City, the firm has rapidly expanded to include a production line of modern industrial furnishings that respond to these environments, both residential and commercial, both here and abroad.”
Looking forward to seeing more from District Eight Design and Sirius, who made the video.
