It’s hard to find someone whose life I admire as much as Jacques Cousteau. Ever since I was a kid, he’s been something of a hero to me. Cousteau committed his life to adventure, the ocean, learning, and the important work of sharing it all with the world. Today is his birthday, so let’s celebrate it in his spirit. Get out there, make the most of life, and protect the ocean.
Jacques Cousteau in his words:
“When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself.”
“If we were logical, the future would be bleak, indeed. But we are more than logical. We are human beings, and we have faith, and we have hope, and we can work.”
“No sooner does man discover intelligence than he tries to involve it in his own stupidity.”
“A lot of people attack the sea, I make love to it.”
