Every February in the Mexico town of San Juan de la Vega, people get together to celebrate a battle that happened centuries ago by slamming sledgehammers into bombs and exploding the ordnance. I’d never heard of it before, but photographer Thomas Prior documents the scene in his photography book Bomba, where these images come from.
